Sega has revealed more tidbits available for Jet Set Radio slated for re-release for digital distribution. Sega will be releasing the title for PC platforms along with Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 slated for this summer. Sega has also revealed a handful of screenshots showcasing the widescreen presentation. Even without updating the graphics, the game still looks just as vibrant as it did before.
Sega has also opened up a contest open to all in the US and UK regions for artists (Or would be vandals?) to submit their graffiti pieces to be used in the game. Up to 18 will be selected and will award those with a number of prizes including a Bluetooth, solar powered Rukus. Details for the contest can be found at http://www.sega.com/jsrcontest

In JSRF They told us not to Graffiti in the start up intro but now there holding a contest to do it? It’s as if they want us to get arrested
That’s definitely on public property
Man, didn’t they do something similar for the release of JGR in the US and it turned out badly for them?
It’s not an IRL graffiti contest geniuses. It’s a chance to get your designs into the game. One thing I really miss from the old days of JGR was scrolling through page after page of custom graffiti on my DC browser trying to find something cool to use.
The first game also had a disclaimer at the beginning. They encourage those to only vandalize in a video game. You know, like murder and theft.
I would like to do this, but I don’t care for any of the prizes. :l
this could be hilarious as it is fun…I look forward to the news one of these days that someone vandalized some place in remembrance of this game…oh good god 2012 will be such an entertaining year.
I been praying for them to release it for PC, thank you SEGA XD
I wonder, will they make an alternate version of the tagging system for PC users? Like a setting for keyboards and another for controllers? I imagine it may be awkward using key presses… Or not.
Wait, but what about JSRF? Can’t you upload your own pictures as graffiti?
Jet Set Radio is a legendary game and fully support a re-release. I still have it on a working Dreamcast so would prefer a re-release of JSR Future on the 360, bu this is definitely a step in the right direction
