My take, since the issues have big delays they removed the subcription temporarily.
I think theres some issues to cause these delays, fact that it happened around the same time raises a few eyebrows
It’s too soon to call in my honest opinion.
My take on the calls to Archie confusion was the customer service rep was making an assumption that the comics were cancelled when asked of the probability. She gave a different answer later on most likely from all the calls they were getting she got confirmation the subscriptions were temporarily off the website.
I could be taken a number of ways but i feel there’s something internally going on that we arent aware of.

Archie has had some publishing issues over the years. I remember Afterlife with Archie and the Sabrina spinoff got delayed over and over again. Sabrina was only on issue 6 even though it started about two years ago. There’s also been stories about management conflicts and disarray over the years. I think there’s a possibility that that may be happening yet again. Making Sonic a comic shop only series would kill it dead though. Most of that crowd sticks to Marvel and DC. Part of the reason why Sonic has lasted so long is because it was still accessible to kids due to them being in grocery stores and shit.
