I don’t mind in-game dialogues (when done cleverly and not “Rings! Nummmnummmnummmn”) but what I really miss is the ability to play as Sonic’s friends and better stories, sadly though just like the in-game dialogues it seems this game doesn’t do that too well, I’ll hold my judgement till it’s released!
I hadn’t paid much attention to the music in prior viewings of the clip, so I did this time around. You’re right, while the music isn’t necessarily “bad” (I’ve heard much worse), it’s definitely nothing special and rather generic in the long run.
Well, on the upside, at least the dialogue isn’t terrible to listen to. Actually got a fair number of laughs out of me. So maybe the constant dialogue won’t be AS bad as past attempts.
Still really the only criticism I can give for what I’m seeing here. Gameplay seems genuinely interesting for the style they’re shooting for, it’s just not the usual Sonic style we’re used that I think most people are taking issue with.
Me, I’m willing to try something new.
It seems to be the same gameplay from GameXplain’s preview, only with clean audio this time. Though the game still looks like hot garbage… this dialogue is just cringe-worthy, Jesus!
One day Sega might look over at Nintendo and see the more natural evolution of Marios gameplay without destroying the concept is the way to go.
So the last good Sonic game was Generations really.
It’s closer to The legend of Spyro’s Dialogue than Sonic Heroes….. Wait…….
The gameplay is surprisingly similar too.
How many designers on this worked on The Legend of Spyro series?
My problem with in-game dialogues is mostly with the characters telling you what you should be doing and pointing out obvious things, like “Keep running!”… “Keep throwing things at it because that’s what your already doing and it works”…
At least Eggman’s constantly spamming “YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY, THE MORE THE MERRIER.” is worse.

Did I hear Sonic eating the rings…?
I wouldn’t be surprised really.
My dad’s make a joke like rings were onion rings.
Reminds me of Gex for some reason.
For the first time in history the 3D camera isn’t too terrible and the 2D camera is just godawful.
I have to disagree here. Sonic Colours on Wii had mostly good 3D camera, and some worse 2D moments than this so far.

You can play as Knuckles, Tails and Amy, so there’s that.
Good to know the “music” sucks. For a second I was worried there might be some semblance of Sonic left in this atrocity.

Oh my god that tag was my thoughts exactly. Fuck. Fuuuuuuuck.
It’s a Crash Bandicoot game with the E-rated commentary of Deadpool.

OMG this looks awful!!!
I, for one, did not mind the in-game dialogues in Heroes… they added life. :V

@ 3:35 – 3:40 , is it just me or does that robot remind anyone of the robot from Sewer Shark?

Get ready to be shelled by people telling you “this is a spin-off game” and/or “this isn’t a main series game”.

@KLAY OMG I was thinking the same thing, actually I fired up Sewer Shark again last night just to check and he really does look and sound like i1!
