Over at Sonic Boom, a small concert was thrown for the club’s goers by none other than Crush 40’s Jun Senoue and Johnny Gioeli, singing songs like Open Your Heart, His World, In The Wind, and Live and Learn to name a few. However, Alex Maklouhf from Cash Cash joined them on stage to also perform Sonic Colors’ Credits Theme, Speak With Your Heart.
So imagine some people’s reactions when they all got together and did new versions of Sonic R’s Super Sonic Racing and Sonic CD’s Sonic Boom, which were apparently one time performances for Sonic Boom attendees. Well, we got you covered.
Or rather, Youtube user TheRiderssonic123 does, as he managed to get a mostly clean recording of the song, as seen above. The description includes an MP3 for your audible digestion.
Senoue and Maklouhf also teamed up for a new remix of Super Sonic Racing, which isn’t quite so fortunate in getting a clean rip, but here’s one by the way of YouTube user 4KidsRocks1.
So what do you all think? Enough to pester Senoue to include them in an upcoming album? Right now, the official Crush 40 twitter is denying even thinking it as more than a one-time performance when asked by another site.

I soooo wish I could have gone… Hope you all had fun.
Hearing Crush 40 and Alex perform at Sonic Boom was the greatest 30-something minutes of my life ever. When I was recording it, I got Jun to wave back at the camera! I felt like a extreme fanboy there. :3 Course, the playback of the concert killed my speakers on my camcorder and I had to turn down the volume on my TV when playing it back there…… Damn subwoofers…… Anyone have any tips on how to get rid of those in the audio tracks? :C
Crush 40 made good music for the games, but I’ll speak with my heart (c wat i did thar?) and go with Cash Cash as my favorite band. But I’d like to actually say something about the songs here. It’s like a Sonic Generations of music: The current band and the band from the past team up to perform the fans’ favorite songs. What results is, like the game: An amazing conglomerate of both old and new. I swear, once I get a cleaner rip of those songs, I’m going to replace the originals with them in Brawl. Good stuff.
both of those covers were terrible
What about the city escape one? Or is that official Sonic Generations stuff?
That’s confirmed as Classic Sonic’s stage music.
COOL! NOW I cant wait for the OST!
Now that just rocks; wish I’d been there after experiencing Halko Momoi live in the front row at FanimeCon 2011…
