“The Sound of Speed” Proves Too Fast For The Naked Eye

Huh. Feels like I just wrote about this. Oh well, doesn’t hurt to let everyone know that OverClocked Remix‘s latest album The Sound of Speed is now out for your listening pleasure. Available as both a direct download and as a torrent file (if you want to save their bandwidth and pretend it also helps the environment), all thirteen tracks on the album are full of Masato Nakamura goodness. Sure, you may find some of the arrangements aren’t your cup of tea, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to at least download and give it a listen.

Oh, look at that, it’s Tuesday. Man, if this was Sonic 2, I could make such an overused joke!

These are okay, I just don’t like the style a lot of them are in.
I hope SEGA doesn’t pull a Super SFII Turbo HD Remix with these musics for Generations.

I´m a bit shocked right now, I couldn´t get into any of the tracks. Unlike their previous efforts where there’s always been a few tracks that catched my interest, this one has none so far. Maybe I should give it another listen later on, but so far this doesn´t do it for me! 🙁
I guess my music tastes are just a bit to different in this case, I´m not saying the music is bad, it just doesn´t work for me personally. =/
    just my 2 cents.

This album puts me to sleep.

With me that’s not really a bad thing. I go to sleep listening to Metallica and Iron Maiden.

I just love how they mixed the boss theme with the 8-bit one / Scrap Brain zone music ! Overall, this is not quite my taste, but it’s an interesting album.

    Still, this needed some BrainCells/SnappleMan.

Well, unlike the other sonic albums, this is not catchy at all. I’m not singing any of it anywhere, regardless of the fact I just played the album 10 times over. In some songs it was difficult to distinguish the original track. Maybe because I never really played Sonic 1.

However, the sheer quality of the music is amazing. In so little time too. While listening, I thoroughly enjoy.

Clockwork Criminal nearly made me cry.

So so good. Listen with a really good pair of headphones…the mixing is superb!

It’s okay, but it felt about as forgettable as the collection of OC remixes for Sonic 1.

I swear, they nailed it with Project Chaos.
