Colors Pre-Launch Party: Sonic on a Zamboni

So, if you were in New York City’s Bryant Park this weekend, you probably enjoyed the festivities of the Sonic Colo(u)rs pre-launch party. Despite the rain, Cash Cash played a set, demo units of Colo(u)rs were available for both the Nintendo DS and Wii, and people wore those goofy pre-order Sonic hats–a swell time overall.

However, clearly the highlight of the action was what seems to have been terribly overlooked: Sonic the Hedgehog riding around on a Zamboni in Bryant Park. This made us realize, in a world of 18-wheeler simulators and theme park management games, among odder genres, there is no Zamboni sim game. Frankly, we need ICE RINK SMOOTHING HIGH SPEED ACTION STAGES, Sega. Where is Sonic Zamboni Riders? Sonic Smoothing Adventure? Tails Rink Patrol?

Or perhaps this is a teaser for a game yet to come.

(Seriously, though, more photos of the event are available at BuzzFocus.)

I wish to shave ice to the smoothest setting possible with Sonic.

If any of you crazy commenters out there are up to, say, making a game out of it in WarioWare: D.I.Y., it’d be pretty spiffy.

i’m not an Ameerican nor British, and i usually spell it without U but i’ll be frank to say why do British have to spell it the American way and not vice versa? it’s British English that is older, isn’t it?

Who cares which is older! You enjoy putting in extra pointless letters into your words to make them longer? Well enjoy!

In other news, that Sonic costume doesn’t seem to actually look that bad.

    Sonic Zamboni Riders:

Jet: So you think you can smooth ice better than me Sonic? You’ll have learn to fly.
Sonic: Even without wing I can smooth ice!

I swear to god, has anyone else noticed how increasing better the Sonic costumes are becoming now?
