Sonic Generations Second Demo Confirmed

In a surprising, yet not that surprising move, Sega announced today that a second Sonic Generations demo would be available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 ahead of its release date on November 4th.

The first demo of the game featured both classic and modern Sonic in Green Hill Zone, though the levels and contents of this second demo are yet to be announced. Europeans will be able to download the demo October 19th (Wednesday!) No word yet on whether North America and other regions will have access the same day.

Update: The release date is in fact November 4, not 5. Tiny netbooks have tiny keyboards. Sorry, guys.

If this isn’t for North America too, I’m going to cry.

The first demo only had classic Green Hill.

Well, only Classic was playable, but with thw magic of hacking, there is a file of Modern.

Was probably talking about what was in the demo, hidden or not.

Though, the amount of times I’ve seen Modern Sonic unlocked in videos, I could have made that mistake too.

No demo for PC? Oh god πŸ™

This might also be the date steam will finally open a sonic generations page (where you can actually pre-order the game) so cheers.

“ahead of its release date on November 5th.”

Just wondering, when did this get confirmed and for where? I keep seeing November 1st but has there been a concrete date yet?

It’s November 1st in the United States, November 4th in Europe. So if you live in the good ol’ U.S. of A., you get to enjoy the game first…even though the Brits get the special edition…

Not sure if that’s a fair trade but thanks a ton for clearing that up!

http://blogs.sega.com/2011/10/17/second-sonic-generations-demo-incoming/ <- Blog says October 19th for Xbox Live and October 25th for PSN for North America.
This makes me rage because now I have to wait another week to play even a demo again (Apparently the time-set trick either doesn't work for PS3, or doesn't work if you download it after the expiration date)

Besides the game. Someone gotta rip those music tracks available in the demo if thy new

I’d feel safe wagering it’s the exact same demo, just with Modern officially unlocked.

        That would royally suck.

North America dates are given, and the demo is specified to contain only Green Hill.

So essentially, those of us with PSN get it on the 25th… and those of us with Xbox LIVE will either get it on the 19th with Gold… or on the 26th if we can’t blow our hard-earned money on that crap. Right, then, at this point we may as well just hold our horses until the REAL game comes out, but at least we’ll have something to hype over in the five or six days preceding release.

It makes no sense to release a demo of the game five days before its official release, espically if it is Modern Green Hill Zone, which most of us have played by the use of hacking. But, you are right it can tie us over till November 1st since the last demo locks itself out. Seriously that was so stupid!

I’m ready to see what gets hacked this time!

for goodness sake man the game comes out in less than 3 weeks lol

technically it was just classic Green Hill =p

excited about the demo, but modern ghz isn’t a good showcase…it’s the most linear level in the game….
